From an early age, Dr. Han learned that the foundation of health centered around nature’s medicine. Dr Han’s mother was her best teacher. Growing up, food and common household herbs used in teas, gargles, soups and poultices were medicine. Sweating was induced to reduce fevers. She first had acupuncture at the age of 7 for an intestinal infection that no drug or herb could help. Her mother taught her how to live with simple, gentle, yet powerful medicines. She owes much to her “Buddha Momma” who also taught her about patience, balancing yin and yang, that too much of a good thing is not a good thing.

Dr. Han earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration in accounting and finance from the University of Hawaii and worked as an auditor before discovering her true calling as a Naturopathic Doctor and acupuncturist. She attended Bastyr University in Seattle where she received both her doctorate in naturopathic medicine and masters in acupuncture and East Asian medicine. She completed a 1-year residency with Dr. Owen Miller, ND, at the Holistic Health Clinic in Tacoma, a naturopathic primary care clinic. While there, she further strengthened her belief that diet and lifestyle are the foundations for health, and without these in place, drugs, hormones, physical therapies, etc. are no more than symptom relief. She is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, Illinois Association of Naturopathic Physicians and NCCAOM board certified in acupuncture and oriental medicine.

Dr. Han provides naturopathic and East Asian medicine to all. She has a strong interest in women’s health, nutrition, weight loss, metabolic syndrome, digestive disorders, autoimmune disorders, mood issues and pain management. She is especially passionate about diet and nutrient therapy, botanical medicine including Chinese herbal formulations and physical medicine, such has acupuncture and hydrotherapy. On her time to rejuvenate, she enjoys being in nature, hiking, yoga, swimming and traveling with her husband, daughter and son. Dr. Han is honored to be practicing nature’s medicine and she is excited to teach and share nature cure with you.
